Norway–Sri Lanka cooperation to extend in energy, fisheries, IT sectors

Sri Lanka and Scandinavian country can take effective steps to extend cooperation in many areas, as well as fisheries, data technology, energy, hydro and solar energy and oil and gas exploration.

These were mentioned throughout the bilateral discussions command between President Maithripala Sirisena and visiting Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg at the Presidential Secretariat nowadays (August 12).

 Ms Solberg expressed appreciation over the steps taken by this government to strengthen democracy, reconciliation and development, the President’s Media Division according.

The President aforesaid that Sri Lanka|Ceylon|country|state|land} would appreciate technical experience from Scandinavian country to develop the fisheries business in Sri Lanka as there ar huge potentialities for growth in each ocean fishing and upcountry fisheries.

He aforesaid that land seeks foreign investments in export minded industries admire clothes, gem and jewelry, ceramic, plants, timber and medication. He aforesaid that Minister Mahinda Amaraweera would visit Scandinavian country next week to debate ways in which and means that of increasing cooperation in fisheries sector. Ms Solberg aforesaid her government would take steps to pile up potential Norwegian investors and Sri Lankan partners. She additional that as land has currently reached the standing of a Middle-Income Country, the main target would be to help development and increase cooperation in trade, business and business. Norwegian Prime Minister praised the business enterprise business in land and aforesaid that she had a most gratifying vacation within the island throughout the last week. She additional that there's huge scope for top growth within the business enterprise sector.
